The VKL001 rccb monofásico (also available for three-phase boards as 4P) detects earth-leakage
currents and trips before harm occurs, providing protection for people and installations. It is widely applied in
housing, the tertiary sector, and industry. Selection covers rated currents from 16 A to 100 A and residual
sensitivities from 10 mA to 300 mA.

Detection classes & selection

  • AC class — trips for slowly increasing sinusoidal AC residual currents, whether applied slowly or suddenly.
  • A class — all AC features plus tripping for pulsating DC residual currents, whether applied suddenly or increasing slowly.
  • High-immunity variants (Si/G/KV) — filters against spurious tripping caused by harmonics and transient surges; stable under 8/20 μs surge of 3000 A (per datasheet note).

Tripping sensitivity & time

  • 10 mA — precision instrument leakage protection and bathroom use (available on 2P/4P 16–40 A).
  • 30 mA — additional protection against direct contact.
  • 100 mA — coordinated with the earthing system for indirect contact protection.
  • 300 mA — protection against indirect contacts and fire hazards.
  • Instantaneous — tripping without intentional delay; break time under IΔn (Normal) ≤ 100 ms.
  • Short time delay (Si, G, KV) — ensures any tripping at least 10 ms (10–300 ms range).
  • Selective (S) — 150–500 ms, ensures discrimination with a downstream non-selective RCD.
