Le AFDD-1 Arc Fault Detection Device integrates arc-fault detection (AFDD),
overcurrent protection (MCB) et residual current protection (RCCB, Type A) in one compact 1P+N module.
It complies with EN62606 et EN61009-1, providing early detection of series/parallel arc faults
and fast disconnection to reduce fire risks in residential, commercial and industrial installations.

Applications
Fire protection for final circuits up to 40 A in residential, commercial and public buildings
(bedrooms, offices, hospitals, schools). Suitable for TN-S et TN-C-S networks.
Not suitable for TN-C systems or circuits with smooth DC residual currents not equal to 50 Hz.

FAQ
What is the difference between AFDD and RCCB?
AFDD detects series/parallel arc faults to prevent fires; RCCB trips on residual (leakage) current. AFDD-1 integrates AFDD + MCB + RCCB in one device.
Can AFDD-1 be used in TN-C systems?
No. AFDD-1 is intended for TN-S and TN-C-S networks.
Which leakage types are detected?
Type A: sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents.
