Porta-fusível DC KYPV-63D 1500V: Guia de dimensionamento e seleção

Select the KYPV-63D 1500V DC fuse holder and compatible gPV fuse link by voltage, current, dimensions, fault conditions and installation requirements.

Resposta rápida: The KYPV-63D is presented by Kuangya as a 1,500 V DC fuse holder for 10×85 mm and 14×85 mm PV fuse links. The holder and the fuse link must be selected as a compatible pair. A holder alone does not interrupt a fault; the installed fuse link provides the overcurrent protection within its declared ratings.

Fuse holder versus fuse link

The holder provides the mounting and electrical connection for a replaceable fuse link. The link contains the element that opens under specified overcurrent conditions. When comparing products, distinguish the holder’s voltage, current, temperature, terminal and fuse-size ratings from the fuse link’s gPV class, rated current, breaking capacity and time-current behavior. Do not assume that a 1,500 V marking or a model name establishes the rating of every assembled combination.

IEC 60269-6 gives supplementary requirements for fuse links used to protect PV strings and arrays up to 1,500 V DC. Its published scope is for fuse links; it should not be cited as proof that a holder has been independently certified. Ask for the applicable test documents for the exact holder and fuse-link combination.

Nominal DC voltage1.500 V CCConfirm the maximum circuit voltage and the exact device documentation.
Fuse-link dimensions10×85 mm and 14×85 mmMatch the link body and end caps to the holder drawing.
Listed link range2–32 A for 10×85 mm; 30–50 A for 14×85 mmConfirm the approved fuse-link series and any enclosure derating.
MontagemSingle-pole, 35 mm DIN railCheck panel space, wiring clearance and mounting orientation.
IndicadorVersions with or without indicator lightSpecify the intended version and operating circuit.

These are claims on the current KYPV-63D product page, not a substitute for a signed datasheet or test report. That page lists a link range ending at 50 A even though the model name contains “63D”; avoid treating the model number as an automatic 63 A assembled rating.

How to select a holder and gPV fuse link

  1. Define the PV circuit: calculate maximum corrected open-circuit voltage at the lowest expected module temperature, maximum operating current, possible reverse current and prospective fault conditions.
  2. Determine whether string fusing is required: review parallel-string configuration, module maximum series-fuse rating, conductor protection and the inverter/combiner design. A fuse should be selected from the actual system analysis rather than installed by default.
  3. Choose the fuse link: verify gPV designation, rated voltage, rated current, breaking capacity and manufacturer instructions for the specific link.
  4. Verify the holder: check the approved link dimensions, current and voltage ratings, terminal sizes, thermal behavior, enclosure and ambient temperature.
  5. Check the assembled circuit: ensure the holder, link, conductor, enclosure and upstream/downstream protective devices are coordinated. Confirm whether the holder is permitted as a disconnection point; do not use it as a load-break switch unless its documentation explicitly allows that duty.

For a system overview, compare the PV fuse and holder range and the related PV inverter protection guide. Surge protection and overcurrent protection are separate functions.

Installation and maintenance checks

  • Use only the documented fuse-link dimensions and approved current range.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s terminal torque, conductor-size and temperature instructions.
  • Isolate and verify the circuit is de-energized before replacing a link; PV circuits can remain energized in daylight.
  • Investigate why a fuse opened before fitting a replacement of the same approved type and rating.
  • Check for discoloration, loose terminals and heat damage during scheduled inspection.

Do not infer contact plating, housing material, IP rating, service life or certification from a marketing image. Request the current drawing and test evidence for the exact order code if those properties are important to the project.

Questions for an RFQ

Send the maximum PV voltage, string current, number of parallel strings, enclosure ambient temperature, conductor size and preferred indicator option when you request KYPV-63D documents and a quotation. Ask for the holder datasheet, approved fuse-link list, wiring drawing and test evidence. For battery energy storage circuits, confirm suitability separately; a PV gPV link rating does not by itself establish protection for every battery fault condition.
