Overview

The Kuangya VFL001 is a Type A RCCB designed to detect sinusoidal AC and pulsating DC residual currents, providing reliable protection against electric shock and electrical fires. It also supports Type AC operation for AC-only applications. With 2P/4P configurations, rated current from 16A to 100A, and sensitivities of 10/30/100/300 mA, VFL001 fits residential, commercial and light industrial distribution boards. Popular selections include rccb 16a 30ma, rccb 25a 30ma, rccb 40a 30ma, and rccb 63a 30ma.

How it works

When the residual current exceeds the preset threshold (IΔn), the internal toroidal sensor and trip unit of this type a rccb actuate the mechanism to disconnect the circuit within the specified breaking time. Short-time delay (ASi/G/KV) and selective (S) characteristics are available to coordinate with upstream/downstream devices and reduce nuisance tripping.

Applications

  • Residential distribution boards (bathrooms, kitchens, EV chargers with proper coordination).
  • Commercial buildings (shops, offices, public facilities) requiring type a rccb for mixed AC/pulsating DC loads.
  • Light industrial panels and machinery control, with selective or short-time delayed versions for coordination.

Installation & Selection Guide

  1. Select the pole number (2P/4P) according to system voltage: 240 V~ (single-phase) or 415 V~ (three-phase).
  2. Choose IΔn by application: 10/30 mA for personal protection; 100/300 mA for fire protection/selectivity.
  3. For high inrush or EMC-sensitive loads, consider short-time delay (ASi/G/KV) or Selective S types.
  4. Coordinate with upstream SCPD to meet Inc = IΔc 6 kA / 10 kA requirements.
  5. Observe ambient limits (−25…+55 °C, daily avg ≤35 °C) and torque settings (2.5 N·m).

Certifications & Standards

Compliant with IEC/EN 61008-1; CE & UKCA approvals. Terminal safety to IP20; pollution degree 2.

FAQ

What is the difference between Type A and Type AC?

Type AC detects sinusoidal AC only; Type A also detects pulsating DC components, which are common with modern power electronics.

When should I use short-time delay or S selective types?

Use short-time delay (10–300 ms) to ride through transient leakage or inrush; use S type (150–500 ms) to coordinate with downstream RCCBs and avoid nuisance tripping.

What upstream protection is required?

Select an SCPD so that the conditional residual short-circuit current rating Inc = IΔc of 6 kA or 10 kA is respected under fault conditions.
